In retrospect, I appreciate that the rangers were strict. It is not only for safety but also to minimize the number of people that travel through those pristine spaces. Sometimes, you don’t get to go, but when you do it is nice to be away from crowds and intimate with the mountains. And we learned about Patagonian ranching by a stunning waterfall :-)
That's a great story. I was hoping that the rangers would give you the permit. But you got to do something fun anyway.
